One answer is enough
Whoever gets there first ends it for everyone. The ringing stops on every phone in the household at once, not just the one that answered.
A household, not an owner
Everyone who lives there is an equal admin. Nobody holds the keys to the others, and there is no single account the whole gate hangs from.
Guests, deliberately
A phone that asks to join gets in only when an admin says so. Access granted is access an admin can take back.

Point it at your intercom
Add the device once, with the intercom's own password. That password is what proves you live there.

Every phone that joins becomes an admin. Approve the ones you know, ignore the ones you do not.
